Claire Nicholson is an artist and designer living in the North East. After working full time in retail she has taken the decision this year to commit to her passion and has set up her own design business. Claire creates unique and quirky hand painted Bone China pieces as well as original framed artwork.
John came to the Collective in December 2014 with his original work in photography. John lives and works from his studio in Northumberland and his subject matter covers a wide range. From the beautiful landscapes that surround his home, to the vibrancy of Newcastle upon Tyne, to his painterly interpretations of life.

We are so please to have been asked to host this exhibition in support of Rape Crisis Tyneside and Northumberland.
Mini-Masterpieces was founded and organised by Laura McBeth, whose company Crystallised, specialise in marketing and communications. Artists donated an original postcard size piece of artwork for a silent auction. The exhibition previewed on Thursday 6th December with over 150 guests attending and placing their bids.
The exhibition will run until 2nd December 2014 where we will be having a closing celebration as this day is officially ‘Giving Tuesday’.

We are very excited that John Thompson, Managing Director of North East Art Collective, has won this award not only for the gallery but for the North East. He had a great day in London meeting with the other winners and Michelle Mone!
We now have the chance to win Small Business of the year but it is down to a public vote! John is the only winner from the North East and it would be great to bring this award home.
