The last two weeks have been amazing here in the gallery and Newcastle upon Tyne!
So many visitors to our amazing city and many of them taking a little momento of Newcastle back home with them.
We would like to say well done and a big thank you to all the organisers of the event.
There is so much happening in the city and the excitement for the Rugby World Cup is growing.
Don’t worry if you don’t have a ticket for the big games there is a Fanzone to watch all the action on the big screen!
I would like to introduce 163 Interiors, Whitley Bay. Samantha Gillin set up her business a few years ago and is now resident in her beautiful shop in Whitley Bay.
Samantha is working with us here at the gallery so we can supply her with artwork. Click on the link below to take you to her shop!
We are very happy to announce that we have been accepted on the brilliant ‘Own Art’ scheme. This is a great way to own an original piece of art and to spread the costs-INTEREST free over ten months.
You can make your purchase in the gallery or online. Just call the gallery for more details.
As a commercial gallery we are always looking for new and innovative ways of selling art, not just displaying and selling from our gallery, but finding outside partners to work with.
One of these partners was the Wetherspoon Pub chain who have magnificently refurbished The Ritz Cinema in Wallsend. Please click on the link below to see some of the artwork that we supplied.
Here in the North East we are often associated with ‘Cloth Caps’ ‘Whippets’ and drinking lots of beer!
What a lot of people do not realise is just how much artistic talent we have here in the North East and Northumberland. There were many applications and we were very happy to be accepted to be part of this special feature…we hope you like it!
Jessica Kinnersly works from her beautiful home studio in Newcastle upon Tyne.
As well as designing bespoke jewellery, interiors and card & gift, Jessica has had her textile illustrative work published in children’s books.
We are very excited to welcome back the Creative North film crew to the gallery. On Thursday we will have a young artist come to the gallery and talk with gallery manager/curator, Catherine Howard.
As all artists know, it is a difficult task to get your artwork showcased in any gallery, but hopefully Catherine will be able to give a few helpful tips on how to do this.

John was born in Oxford but moved to the North East over 25 years ago.
He grew up loving art and the outdoors, and now enjoys the rural isolation of his cottage in the Durham Dales where the stunning scenery is a constant source of inspiration. A synthesis of experience is captured in John’s work which makes his paintings strong in mood with a tone of thoughtfulness and solitude.
All artwork is Copyright to John Hebborn Fine Art
